Our Story

- Christelle Sanchez (Founder of Incubeats)

Hi, I'm Christelle - a French woman in her thirties, mother of my baby girl Olivia, and founder of Incubeats. I have been living in the UK with my partner for almost 8 years, and work as a project manager in the aerospace industry.

In 2019, my pregnancy had some complications, which led to the schedule of a c-section. There was a risk of not being available for the first skin-to-skin contact babies so desperately need.

At the time I took some comfort in being able to prepare a blanket that smelled of me for our baby's stay at hospital. So even if I wasn’t physically holding her she could still smell me and hopefully find it soothing.

A few months later l noticed that our baby, enjoyed the sound of white noise, but would

also seem to be at the most relaxed on the left side of my chest, close to my heart.

At that moment, the concept of Incubeats was born.

I intend to support as many families, who are going through hospital stays with their babies, as possible.

Researcher

Hi, I'm Charlotte! I explore the science behind Incubeats to make sure it is evidence-based. After studying Experimental Psychology at Oxford, I became curious about the developing brain, and how it is shaped by our early environment. I love holistic approaches to well-being that emphasise the power of human connection, and so I feel very strongly about the potential of Incubeats to do good in the world.
